I hate anti-smoking commercials
| I don't smoke. It smells and I guess it may kill people. I don't know for sure. It does, however, give your tongue this fun new texture, but that's besides the point. Even with my own anti-smoking stance, I really hate these ads they have on. Here's a sample of the ways these anti-smoking groups waste money: I was gonna write some shit about this. It was going to be about how they could find better ways to spend this money and make a real difference in the 'fight' against smoking. Then I searched YouTube and found this short commercial that says everything I was thinking. Observe: Labels: Informative, Media/YouTube, What Bugs Me |

leave a commentGood to know I'm not the only non-smoker who thinks these ads are completely fucking stupid. Every time I see one of the Truth.com ones I want to destroy everyone who works for them.
Hey, I'm a non-smoker, not terribly keen on the habit, but I've also seen too many people in my life negatively impacted by smoking over the course of their shortened lives. If just a small percentage of kids are moved enough by the ads to never pick up a cigarette in the first place, I'd consider it worth the money spent - especially when you factor in the costs for health care of a smoker over the course of their life compared to a non-smoker.
You think the ads are stupid - well, sorry to bust your bubble, but I don't think that you're the target audience for them.
No offense, but that's my two cents.
If you actually think these moronic ads are moving anybody, you are one of the most naive fucks to ever exist. They aren't effective in any way period. Kids laugh at them.
